I started in the unscripted world when I moved to LA in 2013, cutting branded and social videos for Hollywood Report, Buzzfeed, Vibe, and Variety; short semi-scripted content for YouTube, Google, and Universal; and internal development sizzles for MTV, Viacom, and Collins Ave.
In 2018 I shifted to scripted television working on Kevin Williamson’s Tell Me A Story where I excelled as an assistant, landing me my next show at Disney where I bumped up to editor within the first month.
As an editor on Disney’s Secrets of Sulphur Springs, I cut for 3 seasons and over a dozen episodes as the show grew in popularity, moving from Disney Channel to streaming on Disney+, and landing an Emmy nomination for best-scripted show for its 2nd season.
In between seasons, I edited the Pilot season for Apple TV’s Surfside Girls with producers Paul Stupin and May Chan and also worked as an assistant and uncredited additional editor for Michael Mann’s pilot episode of Tokyo Vice.
I focus on the emotion of a story and regularly receive praise for my pacing. As an improv and stand-up comedian, I have the timing to pull the comedy out of a scene. I love horror over all genres and can really get lost in creating tension and suspense through sound design and cutting patterns. There is not a scene I cannot tackle or a problem I cannot troubleshoot. Almost every production runs into issues and I am adept at facing them head-on, offering solutions, and working with the producers to make sure we solve anything that arises.
As an assistant I excel at temping SFX, MX, and VFX. I am fast and efficient with an attention to detail. I have the ability to cut efficiently if the need arises but also can focus on the tasks at hand keeping the machine running.
